HEC Global Learning Centre works in five main areas:
We have a resource centre with materials for primary and secondary schools and we work closely with Tower Hamlets Schools Library Service.
and publications such as Bangladeshi Children in our schools; Storyworlds; We live In the East End; the big book Play on the Line and the board game Locococo.
We offer a range of packages for pupils, and training for teachers including:
- Critical thinking and pupil led enquiry through Philosophy for Children (P4C)
- Children’s rights, participation and school councils
- ICT (digital video, animation and web-page development)
- Sustainable schools and carbon reduction
- Literacy, values and skills through global stories
- Online perception mapping with children
- School Linking – locally, nationally and internationally
We also provide training and advice on a range of global development and sustainability issues for teachers and other educators.
