Citizenship Ceremony

Many schools have been exploring their identities as citizens of their schools.
They then share their work at a real Citizenship Ceremony.

 At the request of the Mayor and Mayflower Primary School the children:

MayflowerCit.jpgexplored Tower Hamlets and Great Britain;
created speeches for a citizenship ceremony, which were chosen by the Mayor and Registrar;
read their speeches during the ceremony to greet the new Citizens next to the Mayor;
filmed the event and interviewed the Mayor, Registrar and a new citizen;
shared their film at a full school assembly and on the web;

The last ceremony was used as a training morning for four primary schools, their children and teachers, with families from Globe school reading their speechs, and everyone interviewing the Deputy Lord Lieutenant and the Registrar.
