Rumi & Rosy

The author of this very popular childrens book, Phil Maxwell, has kindly allowed us to offer free to schools, a pdf copy of his book "Rumi & Rosy visit the farm" The story is designed to introduce Key Stage 1 pupils to environmental issues and recycling.

The ducks in the pond enjoy the cold water on a hot day.The farm is kept clean and free from litter so the animals won't get hurt.

How could litter hurt the animals?

 

 

 

Rumi & Rosy help to feed the hens. The hens are not locked in a small space and can move around freely. Their eggs are called free range eggs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Compost is good for the soil and helps plants to grow strong.
