Malaria
     

1. What is the problem?

Malaria is spread by the female mosquito. When a person is bitten by the mosquito a parasite enters their bloodstream. After a few days the infected person will become very ill and fevered.Every 30 second an african child dies of Malaria.

• Malaria is particularly prevalent in tropical regions and occurs in over 100 countries in:
• Africa
• Central and South America
• Indian subcontinent
• South-east Asia


The main initial symptoms of malaria are often mistaken for flu and can include:
• Being sick
• Being tired
• feeling sick
• muscular pains
• mild diarrhoea
• fever
