Marion
Richardson Primary School project on
WHEN
YOU LIVED IN SOMALIA...
|
We got inspired
by the book "When you lived in Somalia", edited by
Rachel Warner, who worked with the Globetown Action Zone to initiate
a project focusing on Somali pupils.
The Aim of the
project was, among others, to strengthen links between Somali pupils
and their parents. This project helped Somali pupils to learn about,
understand, appreciate and value their cultural heritage through interviewing
their parents.
At Marion Richardson
Primary School, we tried to re-create the project on film with the help
of Sahra and her son,
who is conducting the interview.
