Many buildings had very thin walls and were not very stable so when the disaster struck the buildings easily collapsed. Many people were found dead or injured under collapsed buildings.

Two weeks after the disaster, mothers and children started returning from the mountains to seek medical attention and fresh food and water.

1.Why didn't the medical service try to get the injured people to come and get medicated?

2. How do you think they felt when the disaster struck?

3. How did the people in the houses that collapsed survive?

Some of the injured people left it too late to get medical treatment therefore many people got gangreen and limbs had to be amputated and other dreadful diseases such as corolla etc.

The UN commissionar for refugees sent 1,500 tents, 4,500 blankets, 2,200 plastic sheets,3,000 jerry cans and 700 kitchen sets for those who are homeless, but 50 percent of the people living in the moutains couldn't build their tent especially in winter.

Would you like it if you had to build a tent on a mountain?
