Holocaust Memorial Day 27th January 2012

Learn about how the Polish hero Janus Korczak ran a democratic orphanage based on children’s rights.

How did the children create justice when they were surrounded by the poverty, death and brutality of the Warsaw Ghetto?

It is a hundred years since Korczak opened his orphanage.

It is 70 years since he and the children were killed at Treblinka.

Find out about this hero and how we can learn from what his children did.

To find out how you can make a difference this week, visit the Energy Saving Trust website for more ideas. www.energysavingtrust.org.uk

A computer left on overnight for a year creates enough CO2 to fill a double-decker bus. Switch it off and you’ll make all the difference. For more ways to help combat climate change at work visit
