Breakfast
is good for us! |
Breakfast is probably the most important meal of the day. E.g. Fresh orange juice or cereal with milk. |
Five
a day! |
You should eat 5 portions of fruit and vegetables a day. E.g. Always have salad with your meal NO sweets! |
You
need energy! |
You should eat food containing carbohydrates in each of your meals. E.g. Boiled rice or pasta is good for you. |
Calcium
is good for your bones! |
Yoghurt and milk is good for you. E.g. have cereal with extra milk. |
Protein
helps to repair the body |
You should have fish at least twice a week and eat meat which has little or no added fat. |
A
little bit of fat is good for you but NOT TOO MUCH! |
Too much fat is not good, but a little is ok. Hidden fats can be found in fried rice, chips, cakes, crisps, burgers, biscuits and foods which are cooked in fat. |
Drink
up! |
We should be drinking about 8-10 cups of water a day. Drinks packed with sugar are bad for you. E.g. you should especially be drinking after exercising and during hot weather. |
