Exercise is fun!

It is important to exercise to help the body stay fit and healthy. We should exercise for one hour. Walking, running, playing football, dancing or swimming are good exercises.

Exercise makes us stronger and fitter!

  • Good for the heart
  • Prevents us getting over weight
  • Boosts energy
  • Makes us feel better and happier
  • Helps us sleep better

 

Move 1

Feet hip width apart.

Lean to the side and reach up with arm.

Top Tip: Drinking water is very good for you

 

 

 

   

Move 2

Feet hip width apart.

Hands placed on knees. Round back and pull tummy in.

Move 3

Standing straight. Reach up with one arm then bend it, placing hand between the shoulder blades.

Use other hands to gently press on the elbow.

 

   
   

Move 4

Feet hip width apart.

Clasp hands and reach forward.

Feel stretch across the top of back and maintain correct standing position.

Find out how much physical exercise you will need.
   

Move 5

Feet hip width apart.

Clasp hands behind back and lift hands away from the body.

Do not overstrech and maintain correct standing position.

 

   
   

Move 6

Keep back straight.

Bend one knee and grasp foot. Keep knees close together and push hips forward. Push foot into hand (not foot into backside).

Move 7

Keep back straight.

Bend one leg and hold the back of the thigh behind the knee. Gently raise the leg bringing it towards the body.

   
   

Move 8

Both feet facing forward, feet apart (not on a 'tightrope')

Back leg straight, heel down on ground, back straight

We use P.E.quipment at playtime.
   

Move 9

Feet facing forward.

Front leg straight, bend back leg and place hands on thigh for support.

   
   

Move 10

Wide stance straight leg foot facing forward bent knee, foot facing sideways.

Hips forward.

Don't let knee bend over the toe.
