The Walk Home

A big Book by by Year Four children at Harbinger school

The Walk Home is a big book about why it is important to look after our local environment.

The story and pictures were created by Year Four children at Harbinger school on the Isle of Dogs. The words for the story are a combination of individual stories written by the children in the class.

The illustrations are collages made by re-using old materials that are often thrown away such as scraps of cloth, old magazines, tin foil, newspaper and wrapping paper. When creating the pictures for the story the class concentrated on using a variety of colours and textures so that their collages would be interesting to look at and feel.
