And with that she thought of a plan. When the next tourist came along
to feed her she would hop away from the rest of her family and fly away.
And that is what she did.

As Sonia flapped her wings and flew up above the turrets a great cry
filled the air. "We must get back or the Tower will fall. We must
put out messages everywhere." The head Beefeater phoned the BBC and
ITV and the newspapers so they could tell the whole country about Sonia.
The hunt was on.
Sonia chuckled to herself as she flew up and up into the misty clouds.
She fled over Tower Bridge and circled for a while, wondering where to
go first.

She remembered one tourist talking about Buckingham Palace, where the
Queen lived, and decided to go and have a look. She flew back over the
Tower of London and along the River Thames to Big Ben, where she stopped
for a rest. Without any warning the clock struck two o'clock. The noise
was a big shock to Sonia and sent her on her way.
