SAY IT LOUD: WHEN I HEARD OF HIM

by Jackie Mason and Philip Sidney, Phoenix Primary & Secondary School, Year 10

When I heard of him
And what he stood for
And how his was taken
With a single blow

When I heard of him
Now twenty years later
I thought of Martin Luther King
And his fight for equal rights

When I heard of him
And what he sacrificed
I though of Nelson Mandela
And how he got rid of apartheid

Have you heard of him?
His name was Blair Peach
The man who fought and died
To keep racism out of London
