| “NO OUTSIDERS” PROJECT |

For Teachers
The “No Outsiders” project comes at a crucial time to support primary schools and children’s services in meeting their statutory obligations. It explores the diversity of family groupings.
Funding is available to enable four Tower Hamlets primary schools to participate in the “No Outsiders” project and to share the resources and ideas developed in other project schools around the country. In addition, whole day, half day or twilight in-school training and professional development is available for a further ten schools (or cluster groups) over the next year.

Year 6 children at Smithy St have written and illustrated a fabulous story about a trip to Gorsefield.
Everything that makes Gorsefield visits special is there – long walks, possible ghosts, pillow fights, delicious food, playing outside, the countryside, staying up late, fun and friendship…..
These year 6s have captured the essence of school journeys with their witty writing and gorgeous collage pictures.

5 primary schools from the Ocean Estate have got together to use our webquests to create a digital web resource for schools in Tower Hamlets, introducing the global dimension to schools.
A webquest is a self contained learning tool that can either be used individually by students or as a lesson activity. They are starting points of guided research leading to creative self-expression through multi-media. They illustrate the fundamental importance of the web for empowering global citizens.
