The Balfour Beatty London Youth Games are Europe’s biggest multi-sport event for children and young people. We are asking all sporting 7 to 17 year olds in the borough to participate and represent Tower Hamlets in one of the featured sports.
Sports competitions range from angling to weightlifting, while also including more popular sports, such as football, swimming, tennis, athletics and cricket.

Olympic hopes for disabled cyclists
Bike works CIC, based in Bow, has received official accreditation to the special Olympic programme give athletes equal opportunities - and has intiated a structured training programme for potential athletes of all age and abilities. Instructors offer the training at twice monthly Saturday sessions, partly funded through the Tower Hamlets Healthy Borough Programme. The club meets in Victoria Park on alternate Saturday afternoons and its free to attend. For more information call 020 8980 7998 or email nicki@bikeworks.org.uk
